SO much gratitude and praise to you.

The Four Things I Am Grateful For Year Round

I do not know about you, but I am an individual who is busy a majority of the time and who never has any time to just sit still and give praise and gratitude to the ones who need it most. So, even though Thanksgiving has passed, I came up with a little list of some of the things that deserve a little extra recognition than they usually get.

Health

Health is such a major thing to be thankful for. I know many people who have such bad health and I do not give my health enough credit. This past year has been one of the greatest years of my life, and have been able to do so many things that wouldn’t have been possible without being on my tip top health game.

Friends

When I say friends, I do not mean the friends that are there when they need something and disappear when that need is met. I mean the friends who are constantly checking in on you and personally wanting to know how you are doing in every aspect of life.

Faith

Faith is a major part of my life because without my faith, I would not be the person that I am today. I thank God each and every day for all that he has done and is constantly doing in my life. Sometimes life gets hectic and things don’t go the way that you planned them to, but I can always count on my God to take control of the situation and my gratitude to him is so big.

And last, but certainly not least……

Family

My family has become a huge part of my life. Leaving home and moving 2 hours away to attend college has been a huge adjustment, but I know that I can pick up my phone and call any one of my family members and know that they will be there to help without a doubt. Family is the biggest part of my life now and I cannot thank each and every one of my family members for all that they have done for me.

We all have certain things that we need to remember to be thankful for year round; what are some of yours?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
