As a Freshman, college is a scary and daunting place. So many events, dates, people, and it's all a blur. The first week is exhausting, new, and exciting. It intimidating and promising. I don't know if I would call it fun, but I would definitely call it an adventure. One that's pretty easy to get lost on, but good thing Spongebob has our back.

When Welcome Weekend is finally here

It's the weekend you've been waiting for AND dreading because it means the start of the next chapter and the biggest adventure of your life.

And then you realize how many people there are and you know none of them

There are so many people and you know none of them.

When you finally make a couple of friends

There is nothing better as a scared Freshmen than finding a group of people to spend the evening with.

Then you get split up and never see them again

Because there are so many people it's so easy to lose them in the crowd and never see them again.

Prepping for the first day of class

Color coding, reading the syllabus before class, making sure you have all of your books, and trying to remember everything you need can be overwhelming.

The moment you see how long the syllabus is

This really isn't high school anymore, is it?

Organizing your planner

There's nothing like knocking off your To-Do list (even if it is just organizing your planner) and feeling like maybe you will have it all together.

The first day of classes

You finally feel like a big kid who's ready to learn everything the class has to offer.

When you know NO ONE in your stadium class

How can there be 330 of you and not a single soul you recognize?

When there are 3 hours between your classes and you have nothing to do

You don't really know anyone, you've already eaten, and you have nothing, but syllabus, to look at from classes.

When you call your Mom

It's nice to know someone believes in you.

Leaving your last class of the week

The best part of the week? Knowing you'll never have to go through the first week as a Freshmen ever again.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
