Sophomore year: the year everything changes. You're no longer on the bottom of the pyramid and you know the do's and don'ts of college. As the first day approaches you're excited, ready to be with your friends, and have your freedom back after a summer with the 'rents.

As everyone knows, first days can be a little tricky. Not knowing where classes are on campus, the realization that you will be late for your 8 a.m., and not being able to find your new cute shoes in your apartment are all struggles you may face.

In honor of getting back to school, here is the first day of sophomore year as told by Rachel Green from Friends.

1. You wake up ready and excited for your first class.

You are definitely not going to be this excited next Monday... or any Monday after that. Make this one the best Monday of the year!

2. You're on your way to the bus when you realize the bus you were supposed to get on left five minutes ago....

It's fine. You're fine. Just skip the latte and make it work like Rach.

3. You get to class, and see your friend from last semester!

This is legit the most amazing blessing you have been given. Be grateful for your new study buddy and homework partner!

4. The most attractive boy is sitting next to you in your three-hour seminar.

Try not to make a fool out of yourself by staring the whole class, but I mean, there is such thing as destiny.

5. Your Professor takes 50 minutes to go over the syllabus.

Yes, we get it, have your assignment in on time, come to class, blah, blah, blah....

6. Your friend already saved you a spot in the dining hall, but you still have to run to get in line before all the classes let out!

You have to beat the freshmen who have no idea where the salad bar line begins.

7. You see your ex walking with some random girl....

Hmm, well that is an interesting view, but the cutie in your class made up for that slap in the face.

8. You get lost on your way to the one building you've never had a class in.

Such a freshman move....

9. Your teacher calls you out for being late, even though it's the first day.

At least you made it to class. Half the students didn't even show up. Great first impression though.

10. You're roomies decide it's a good idea to go out on a Monday.

One of the only Mondays it's socially acceptable to go out! Take advantage of all the amazing Monday-like things you will experience!

11. Your epic pregame involves watching "Bachelor in Paradise," and eating leftover pizza from Sunday.

Yes, it might sound lame, but you HAVE to find out the full story behind what happened to Corrine. This might just be the MOST DRAMATIC SEASON YET!!!

12. The frat boy working the door won't let you in because you're not in their partner sorority....

He so knows who you are, but he's just trying to look cool... which he's not.

13. ...but you and your girls end up sneaking in the back door.

Little did he know that you and your friends were agents from "Mission Impossible."

14. The first-day jitters leave you by the time the epic dance party occurs.

Time to let loose and own the night with your girls! Who ever said Mondays suck?

Yes, there were some ups and downs, but just like Rachel Green you owned it and made it legendary. Sophomore year is a time to live it up and make the most incredible memories. Make every day a day Rachel would approve of.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
