It is the Monday after Spring Break and your brain is crying for more time in lala-land. I am right there with you. I do not want to go back at all, because of one word: deadlines! No matter if you are in high School or college, you feel the stress of the many assignments due in April and May. The last two months (high school students) and four to five weeks (college students) have left become to be called, "The Final Leg of the Spring Semester".
The motivation becomes harder to have because summer is drawing nearer and nearer. You can already feel the summer heat, but yet it is many weeks away. Before you can say hello to summer, you must endure all the school work of the spring semester.
I am here to tell you how we are gonna survive these last few weeks of spring semester together.
Keep a strong head!
A strong head means to stay positive and do not let negative thoughts invade your thoughts. Positive thinking helps you feel better on tests, quizzes and projects. Also, positive thinking helps stress.
Do not stress yourself out!
Let yourself breath a little. Stress only wears you down; do not let it get the best of you.
Take everything one day at a time!
"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." Matthew 6:34-- Everything will work out for the best, Always do your very best and good things will happen.
Planner.
If you have not already gotten you a planner, you totally should. They are so helpful. I doodle, use highlighters, and write in colorful pens in mine. Writing deadlines and other stuff down helps you remember it better.
Do something you enjoy.
Read something you enjoy, after you finish your literature class's readings, of course. Get an adult coloring book and just take a couple of hours and color to your heart's desire.
Listen to your favorite music playlist.
Take some time to have a mini dance session: party of one! Just be yourself and have fun. Music helps relax you and calms your stress down.
Study using flashcards and colorful pens.
Color code your study material because it will keep your attention more. I use flashcards for material that seems harder. Other times I just use colorful pens to color code my notes and important words. Also, sticky notes are helpful as well.
With all that being said, I hope all of you strive amazingly these last few weeks of Spring Semester 2016. Remember to always do your very best and to never give up.
"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."
--Winston Churchill
