First and foremost, thank you. Thank you for being confident in my abilities when I doubted them. Thank you for always being "on call" for advice, talking me down, reassuring me, applauding me, and just being willing to talk. Thank you for challenging me to be my best self and reach for things that I think are out of my league. Thank you for being the voice of reason and encouragement in my ear. Just, thank you because I know I can never say it enough.
I want you to know that you are appreciated. Your support and encouragement mean the world to me and I wouldn't be where I am without it. I know when stress, exhaustion and often hunger are added to my usual sunny disposition, I can be slightly (only slightly) difficult to deal with and communicate with but you are there nonetheless.
I know I am at the stage in my life where independence and freedom are celebrated. I often tout that I am my own person and can make my own decisions but please know that your advice and opinions are valued and certainly taken into consideration. Without your input and the upbringing you gave me I absolutely wouldn't be, not only where I am today, but the same person. You all have shaped me into a person who is well-equipped to contribute positively to the world we live in and you continue to be exceptional role models.
From my parents and brother to my aunts, uncles, and grandparents, you each have had an important role in my life up unto this point. I wanted to take the time as I embark on my final college year to thank you, tell you how appreciated you all are, and assure you that you continue to make a difference in my life. You have been there through all my hair colors and cuts, my obsession with heels and books, and my transition from my love of fashion design to English and Journalism. I am proud to my a member of our family and am so grateful for your consistent support and love.
