It has finally come to this. It is the end of the fall semester. This is when you go insane, drink up on lots of coffee and Red Bull, and get your work and tests done with zero sleep. Sound familiar?

Yes, Clark Griswold is basically the biggest Christmas fan, but did you know he can also describe a college student's struggles very easily?

1. When you're in Christmas mode and nothing can stop you.

Yay, it's the holiday season! Your favorite time of the year is here. But wait, aren't you forgetting something? Nothing is ever this easy.

2. But your professors hand you a million last-minute assignments before finals week.

Oh right, it's December. That's the catch. Of course, this is the month of the holidays and winter, but this is also the time where everything goes downhill. Finals week is about to screw it all up. These last-minute papers are only the beginning of the hellstorm.

3. When you finally realize how fast the semester went and you're running out of time.

What's going on? Why are you sweating profusely? Has time really flown that fast? It's got to be a dream. Wasn't Week 1 like two weeks ago? I guess you have to get going then with your work.

4. When your professors don't grade your finals on a curve.

How rude. You can only do so much. It's the holidays, after all. Can't they be generous for once? Nope. The bird is your only reaction.

5. When your partners blow off the group project so you're left to do all of the work.

No, do NOT pull this crap. You are all college students and adults. How about you be responsible? No, we are all in this together. Don't back out on us now. There is nothing more annoying.

6. When you wait anxiously to see how bad your GPA suffered.

Clark has got it right. Drum roll, please! Let's hear what could be a blessing or an embarrassment.

7. When you run out of coffee and you turn to sugary junk food to keep you sane.

The joe is wearing off. You turn to your coffee maker and you are all out of the magic drink. Time for some candy and ice cream. Keep going, trooper.

8. When you break your personal record of losing your patience.

Calm down. Remember, there's Christmas to look forward to! No, in reality, your patience is wearing thin from stupid people and stupid work to do. Try to trust the process.

9. When someone tries telling you to stop procrastinating.

Very funny! You hate being judged on that. Why can't they leave you alone? Yes, you would rather watch Christmas movies and cut out paper snowflakes for your bedroom than work on your dumb assignments for finals.

10. When you roast your professors in your course evaluations.

You're an expert at this. Your professors have done you wrong, from bad feedback on assignments to disorganization with deadlines. Now it's time to ROAST!

11. When you get your grades back.

Ouch. That is all.

12. When it's all too much for you to handle.

It's best to stay away from you during this time of stress and frustration. I know it's difficult.

13. When you try your absolute hardest to stay positive.

You've lost your head at this point, but you do not care one bit. Christmas is coming and you'll be dancing once again.

14. When you try to push through your 8 a.m. after getting 3 hours of sleep.

Nope, not working. You were up studying for all of your hard finals. This is bogus. Clark describes you right now, admit it.

15. When you complete your last final.

Praise God, the time has come! You are so relieved. How does it feel to let it all go behind you? Bye!

16. When you can go home and finally enjoy the holidays!

Yay, time to go home and think about Santa, hot chocolate, presents, and family! Just try not to think about the storm forecast predicted for mid-January...

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
