The End Of Spring Semester As Told By "Grey's Anatomy"

I believe that believing we survive is what makes us survive.

The last six weeks before the end of the semester are tough. You've had a taste of freedom. You've seen the sunlight and the glorious beaches. You've spent the last $25 in your bank account on bikinis. Summer is almost here, yet you still have to survive the next round of exams and your excruciating finals. Try to survive and you will succeed.

1. You ride up to campus after one week of spring break.

You don't want to let go. You don't want to move on. Island paradise was definitely more soothing than studying.

2. Everything is falling apart.

Your fantasy world over spring break is over. You are back to reality and reality is not so pretty.

3. You can't figure out what you want.

The bare necessities of sleeping, eating, and showering have become irrelevant next to the mound of things that you have to finish by the end of this week.

4. You just remembered that summer and fall registration are on the horizon.

Registration is coming! I repeat, registration is coming! Now, you really have to figure out what to do with your life and you still have no clue, just like last semester and the one before that.

5. You're not sure whether you should really study for that midterm or not.

You fight fate and free will. Maybe you are destined to do poorly on that midterm.

6. Getting out of bed is just so hard.

The bed is so much more comfortable now that you haven't gotten out for it for a week over spring break.

7. You question whether getting a rich husband is actually better than completing your degree.

Don't lie, you've contemplated this decision at least once a week. However, you remember that you still want your degree.

8. Why didn't you just stay at the beach instead?

Happiness is such a quest now that you've left your paradise. The beach was just so much better than dorm life.

9. You want a tub of ice cream to soothe your anxiety and to take your test for you.

Your life is in pieces and they just keep crumbling. First, there's the calculus exam. Then, you've got the chemistry exam. Finally, there's always more work piled on top of that.

10. You tell yourself at least once every five minutes that you can finish the semester.

The struggle is real. You are constantly surviving, but not thriving.

11. You struggle to find the willpower to not procrastinate on your assignments.

It's 2:00 in the morning and you still have to write that paper. The real question is whether you should sleep or eat.

12. You pretend that binge-watching Netflix will solve all of your problems.

Instead of studying for your calculus exam tomorrow, you decided that watching reruns of "Grey's Anatomy" or binge-watching old episodes of "The Bachelor" is the correct approach.

13. You constantly remind your roommates how tragic these next few weeks will be.

You have been living in the library and you make sure that everyone knows how horrifying this has been for you.

14. You feel as though a real-life McDreamy will make you happy, not a silly degree.

The only person who can make you happy at this point is a real-life McDreamy. You tell yourself all of the time to never give up looking for one.

15. You feel angry and sad when someone mentions spring semester.

You cannot wait for spring semester to be over and for summer to begin! Spring is just too stressful and so dull without any of the fall football excitement.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
