Back to school is coming faster than any of us would like to admit. It's a fast paced time of the year that is filled with last minute school shopping, moving back to your college town, and fitting in last minute plans with your family and hometown friends. It's a time where stress and relaxation are playing tug-a-war with your heart strings.
It's enough to make any of us a little irritable and sassy. So, what sassy movie do I believe describes the back-to-school blues best? One of my personal favorites, and the ever so quotable, The Devil Wears Prada:
1. "What Classes are you taking this semester? Are you going to join any organizations this year? How many hours are you taking?"

2. Dreading the fact that campus is about to be flooded with students again.
And that means getting stuck behind slow walkers on their phone every day on your hike across campus. Summer school and the ghost town of your university is soon coming to an end.
3. Having to throw a last minute course schedule together, and all that's left is 8 AMs or 6 PMs.

Is it worth it? Probably not. Are you going to do it anyway? Probably.
4. Getting your refund but knowing almost all of it is about to be spent on text books.
They are made out of paper -- Why is this book $380? Can I find this for free online? And Lord please don't let me purchase said book and use it only once during the whole semester.
5. You took on an extra class this semester, and your parents are questioning your course load.
I am a course work warrior. I can do anything. Who needs sleep? I can do this...right?
6. While you're not ready for summer to be over, you are definitely ready to be back in your college town with your friends...ASAP!
It's you're home away from home and you're ready to be back more than ever.
7. Your summer one professor still hasn't posted your final grades...
School is about to be back in session. Can you put a little pep in your step, please?
8. A class you really need to take this semester only has reserved seats left.
Then you have to deal with e-mailing the professor and begging him or her to let you in their class... *sigh* The schedule struggle is real.
9. Walking into the advising office or financial aid office and the staff makes you feel like an inconvenience.
Is this your job or....? That's what I thought... I pay to attend here. I pay for your employment. The least you could do is speak to me with a smile on your face. Just tell me what I need to do to get the hold off of my account, and I will be on my way. Trust me.
10. When you realize school is about to start, but summer weather isn't anywhere near over.
No, no, no. I will come back when fall weather begins. It's too hot to be walking all over campus like that. No thank you!
11. The stress of dealing with finding and making living arrangements for the next year.
12. When the reality of how fast school is approaching hits you:
It feels like you took your finals two weeks ago, and now you're getting ready to go back. Was this a weekend vacation or a summer break? I don't know either.
13. Register for fall classes, finish summer courses with good grades, work a summer job, and make time for last minute plans with friends?
You got this, right?
14. "You look stressed?"

What a nice compliment! *Insert sarcastic tone here* The flustered look must suit me well.
15. "Would you like to apply for work study?"
I want to be on campus as little as possible, okay? I'd almost rather work at McDonald's...almost.
16. You're excited to show off all the cute clothes you bought at home this summer.
You're about to turn that campus sidewalk into a runway.
17. You have to start practicing how to really do your make up again.
Because, let's face it, you spent a majority of your time at the pool or beach with out it. The few months break is enough to make anyone a little shaky on their face beating skills.
18. Speaking of re-learning -- you have to practice your hand writing again, too.

Let's be honest, the only thing you used your handwriting skills for all summer was to sign receipts at the mall or for food.
19. But despite your back to school blues...

You are glad that you are headed back to that stupid school you love oh so much.
What is your favorite The Devil Wears Prada quote or scene? Let me know in the comments! Happy back to school season! Go out and make your '16-'17 school year the best one yet.
