10. "Requiem for a Dream"

The dreams of four people shatter as addictions take over their lives. What makes this film so creepy is the fact that it feels real. It presents the life of an addict in a haunting way. Prepare for your emotions to rapidly cycle through sadness, despair, empathy, and anger.

9. "Memento"

This might be the most interesting film on the list. It is about a man who forgets everything the instant it happens. But the film runs backwards, starting at the end and ending at the beginning of the story. It will definitely mess with your mind.

8. "Primal Fear"

This is one of the most underrated movies ever. It should be more popular than it is, even though it is decently well-known. "Primal Fear" is a courtroom drama, but it is so much more than that. The acting is impeccable, and the ending will surprise even the best of plot-predictors.

7. "Fight Club"

I can't really talk about this one, I would be breaking the rules. Just watch it and lose your mind.

6. "The Machinist"

Paranoia and delusion reign in this movie about an insomniac who goes completely insane. Christian Bale is terrific, and it will definitely creep you out.

5. "Psycho"

This one is a classic. The shower scene is one of the most legendary scenes of all time. It will make you go psycho. Plus, are there any bad Alfred Hitchcock movies?

4. "Shutter Island"

This one is flat-out creepy. An escaped conflict? Check. A horrifying insane asylum? Check. A horrifying insane asylum on an even more horrifying island? Check. You may need a few days to recover after watching this one, so I suggest taking a vacation from school or work if you want to watch it.

3. "The Manchurian Candidate"

While not as psychologically as creepy as the others on this list, the Manchurian Candidate is a classic. U.S. soldiers are captured during the Korean War and are brainwashed by communists. This movie came out in 1962, right when communism was one of America's biggest fears.

2. "Se7en"

If you like disturbing movies about serial killers, you would probably like "Se7en." Detectives work to find a killer who uses the seven deadly sins to kill his victims. Disturbing, gross, and interesting, "Se7en" is a great option for any fan of thriller movies.

1. "Silence of the Lambs"

This was easy. Hannibal Lecter is one of the best villains of all time. The relationship between Hannibal and Clarice Sterling is amazing to watch, as Hannibal seems to grow a liking to her. They can relate on some level, yet they chose to take completely different paths. This film features one of the best escapes, plot twists, acting performances, and storylines of all time.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
