Being a college student is extremely stressful and you feel like you can never have a moment of relaxation or time for yourself. But I like to remind myself that the next few years of studying is temporary compared to the rest of my life and that it will all pay of in the end. There are times though where I like to daydream of what I would do if I had more time to myself, and the first thing that comes to mind is that I would love to travel to different beautiful countries. Here are my top 5 countries that I'd want to travel to most:

1. France

I know France is one of the most typical places most people want to visit, but either way I'd still love to visit the country. Just the idea of getting to see the Eiffel tower at night while it's lit up or waking up in the morning and eating breakfast while having an amazing view of the beautiful architecture sounds absolutely perfect to me.

2. Spain

I would love to take a tour through Spain's amazing Roman ruins. There's so much history that I would love to take a walk through and above everything else, I'd love to see all of Spain's beauty.

3. Puerto Rico

From what I know of my ethnicity, I am both Puerto Rican and Dominican. I have had the chance to visit the Dominican Republic multiple times and have loved it more and more over time because I was able to see and feel where part of my background stems from. But I have never visited Puerto Rico and I would love to get the chance to have the same experience with the rest of my ethnicity.

4. London

For almost the same reasons that I'd want to visit France, I'd want to visit London. I've always wanted to get a picture in front of Big Ben and see all the other awesome view London has to offer. I'd also love to meet a few of the people.

5. Greece

Greece is the one place that has to be at the top of my list. From what I've seen in pictures and from what I've heard of my older brother's experience from traveling there, it would be a dream come true to spend some time there.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
