'The Conjuring 2:' Why It's A Must See Sequel

For those who have already seen “The Conjuring,” you are in for a treat with the sequel “The Conjuring 2.” Both movies are about a married couple named Ed and Lorraine Warren who investigate the paranormal. They have had many cases involving spirits, demons and people who have been possessed in their own homes. Once a family is in trouble and find themselves at their wits end, they do not hesitate to call Ed and Lorraine Warren for their help. They are the ones who are more than qualified to chase away anything evil that is lurking in places where they are not welcomed.

"The Conjuring 2" begins with Ed and Lorraine Warren investigating the Amityville Horror case. Lorraine Warren is a medium who can communicate with spirits and determine if there is a demonic presence in the home. Ed Warren is a demonologist who can perform exorcisms and save families from becoming victims of the supernatural. Lorraine has an experience that frightens her, yet it allows her to see the demon who possessed a man to kill his entire family and visions of her husband’s death. Meanwhile in Enfield, England, a family begins to experience the first stages of a demonic possession. Strange happenings have occurred at their house such as loud noises, banging on the walls and objects moving on their own. The Hodgson family has been terrorized by this entity, and it has successfully attached itself to one of the children in the house; the child is one of the daughters whose name is Janet. At first, the mother did not believe the children until she saw the entity move a dresser that slammed the door shut with her own eyes.

This case was very unique compared to all the other cases Ed and Lorraine Warren have done in the past. For example, people around the neighborhood labeled the Hodgson’s family home as the haunted house in Enfield. The media also publicized their home as such, making others skeptical about the paranormal activity occurring in their home even the Warrens. In fact, people did not believe their house was actually haunted; instead people believed it was all a hoax so the family could receive attention from the media. Frustrated due to the allegations, the mother, Peggy Hodgson, asks the Warrens and their entourage to leave their home. Once things with Janet start to worsen, the Warrens return to finish the job that they started to save the girl’s life. Questions that may arise are: will the Warrens make it in time to save Janet? Is Ed Warren going to survive after pursuing this case? Check out the movie to find out the answers.

If you are into horror movies and the paranormal, I suggest you make your way to the nearest movie theater and purchase a ticket to see this movie. It is bone chilling, arm grabbing and eyes-covering good. However, if you get scared easily, I would recommend you to ask a friend to go with you to keep you company, so you won’t keep looking over your shoulder from every sound you hear. "The Conjuring" was a great hit that exceeded a lot of the viewer’s expectations, so I can guarantee you will not be disappointed watching "The Conjuring 2."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
