The Coffee Man
John Rego

The Coffee Man’s veins are running dry, but the need for coffee is at an all time high. Sure, the money will make him a wealthy man. Yet, at the rate he is going will his fortune expand? Surely he will die…However, the money distorts his eyes. As coffee flows throughout his veins, the caffeinated souls infest his brain. He quenches them all in their never-ending thrust, for the energy to get them through the worst. The line never dies, as caffeine-addicted souls run the coffee man dry. Yet, he doesn't mind. He is kind of a disgusting guy, he is a prostitute using his body to feed his greed. As the days wage on the Coffee Man grows weak, yet he is possessed by the customers shrieks. The body is fragile is delicate and soft, without the right treatment, it will surely be lost. Yet the Coffee Man did not care, however, his luck soon disappeared.

The Coffee Man shriveled and fell to the ground, and his customers fled without making a sound. Yet the Coffee Man’s greed cause plead on his knees to make one more cup of that caffeinated stuff. There was a customer who was willing to pay, and make the Coffee Man’s final day. The Coffee Man clenched and grunted and screamed, and eight fluid ounces of coffee spewed from his teeth. The Coffee Man collapsed before he could collect his last bundle of cash, for his body was dry and surely the Coffee Man died.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
