Lessons That #TheBibleTaughtMe

While scrolling through Twitter recently, I noticed that a pretty interesting hashtag has been trending. You all may have noticed the hashtag, #TheBibleTaughtMe, and what you may have also noticed is the mixture of inspiring and pretty unpleasant comments that went along with it. There were comments ranging from “s***** books can be bestsellers” to “God had a purpose for you before anyone had an opinion.” I thought since everyone else is sharing what the Bible taught them, maybe I should too. So here is what the Bible taught me:

#TheBibleTaughtMe that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

#TheBibleTaughtMe that being a Christian does not mean that I am perfect, worthy, or deserving, but that I am forgiven, accepted, and loved.

#TheBibleTaughtMe to thank God for everything. To thank Him for not only all the blessings He has given me but also for the trials that have made me a better person and a more faithful servant to Him.


#TheBibleTaughtMe if God is all you have, then you have all that you need.

#TheBibleTaughtMe that God has a far more awesome plan for me and my life than I could ever imagine.

#TheBibleTaughtMe that God is always with me. He is there through thick and thin, whether I feel Him there or not.

#TheBibleTaughtMe even though my God is a loving God, He is also a just God.


#TheBibleTaughtMe that as long as I trust and obey God, He will ALWAYS have my back.

#TheBibleTaughtMe God chooses to use people for His work who may not be perfect, but will follow Him faithfully.

#TheBibleTaughtMe to be faithful to God because He is faithful to me.

#TheBibleTaughtMe that God does not give His toughest battles to His strongest soldiers, but to those who can be made strong through Him.


These are just a few of the lessons I’ve gathered from the Bible. However, the most important thing that #TheBibleTaughtMe was that God loves me. He loves me so much He gave His only son to be sacrificed for me so I could have eternal life. He loves me so much that even when I fail Him daily, He still believes in and protects me. He loves me even though I constantly make mistakes. He loves me even when I forget to pray or read my Bible. He loves me so much that He gives me second chances upon second chances. He loves me even though I am a sinner.

Another thing that I have learned from the Bible, is that God loves you just the same. He loves you so much and He believes in you.
