Are you a student at Defiance College? Are you looking for secret places to take a nap in between classes? Well then this article is for you! Below you will find my top seven places around our campus to take a nap, that doesn't include your dorm room.

1. The study rooms in the Pilgrim Library

You could pretty much nap anywhere in the lower level of the library, but if you want complete silence, then I would recommend going into one of the study rooms. The study rooms shouldn't be taken during the morning, but even if they are, you could still find a couch down there to catch some Z's.

2. The kids room in the Pilgrim Library

This room is slightly hidden on the upper level of the library, but it's perfect if you need to nap between classes. You can go in the room, shut the door, and forget about all of the stresses that you have to deal with in college.

3. The Hive

The Hive will be back this year but only at night. However, if you want a quick snooze during the day, then The Hive/Hubbard Hall will be a great place.

4. Schomburg Auditorium

Located in Dana Hall, this would be another great place to have some peace and quiet while trying to take a nap. You could sneak in there between classes and no one would ever know.

5. The 3rd floor in Tenzer Hall

Most classes in Tenzer are on the 2nd floor, so you shouldn't have any problem escaping to nap on the 3rd floor. You may even see some science majors up there crying because O-Chem can be pretty difficult.

6. The Chapel in Schauffler Hall

There's a little common area in Schauffler where you could nap but it could get a little noisy between classes. So the next best thing would be The Chapel that is connected to it. It's a nice, peaceful place where you shouldn't have any interruptions.

7. The Caf

Grab some breakfast from our 5-star dining cafeteria and then lay down in the corner booth to get some sleep. It shouldn't be too loud in the morning, so this could be a decent spot to nap.

If all else fails, just walk back to your dorm room to take a nap, or discover your own secret napping place that isn't mentioned above.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
