The Best of the Best on Netflix

Because seriously, Netflix.

Let's be honest here, Netflix is life. Over the years I've watched countless series on Netflix; one time I even tried to sit down and write out a huge list of all the shows I've watched, but I wasn't successful. However, you simply can't forget these amazing shows!

1. Grey's Anatomy (duhhh)

It's a love story (kind of) mixed with the drama and exciting events that occur in a hospital among surgeons, residents, and interns alike. It's fascinating, to be honest.

2. Gossip Girl (heart eyes emoji)

Now let me just say, It's been about 3 years since I binge watched all 6(?) seasons of this show, but I still remember the majority of it. I'll never forget the day I found out who Gossip Girl really is/was (yes, I'm over dramatic I know). And lord bless our souls, we just can't help but fawn over the gorgeous Chuck Bass!

3. Grace and Frankie

So I just started this Netflix original series a few days ago, but it is SO FUNNY I literally can not stop watching it. Every time I watch it I get in such a good mood from laughing so much. But don't worry drama lovers, there is some drama here and there. All in all, these two old ladies are hysterical. Caution, they're perverted and way too funny for the average soul.

4. Monica the Medium

Okay so this one isn't anything super spectacular like the previous three, but it kept me happily occupied for a good two weeks. It's about a girl in college who is a Medium, and tries to balance her mediumship(?) with school and dating. In the second season she moves across the country and it gets a lot more interesting, I'm not going to spoil it for you though. I really liked this show, because I like watching reality stuff with people I can relate to (I'm not a medium, but I'm in college lol).

5. Orange is the New Black

I've been hooked on this show since it first came out, and I hastily await every new season. This show is SO. SO. GOOD. I literally can not reiterate that enough. I have a love/hate relationship with Piper and Alex. They do some pretty crazy things (like the ones they did to end up in prison in the first place). The love, betrayal, and drama all tie together for one of the best shows ever.

6. Shameless

Lord help us all, this show makes me want to live in poverty in Chicago (not really). But seriously, this show is FANTASTIC! The love stories, the mental problems, the jail time, everything just combines together to make a fantastic show (with a female star, might I add). Seriously I could rant and rave about how much I love this show all day, but I'll spare y'all from that. But let me tell ya, Lip Gallagher is in my top 5 celebrities that I swoon over.

7. Nurse Jackie (!!!!)

Okay so I attempted to watch the first episode probably three times in 1 year, and it just weirded me out and I couldn't get past it. Once I decided to just keep on going, I was hooked. Eventually I had every single one of my coworkers hooked on this crazy show, and it was all we talked about at work. It's about a nurse with a drug addiction, who is banging the hospital pharmacist in order to get her goods. This show is full of twist and turns and it is seriously one of the best ones out there.

8. Cheer Squad

Honestly, I'm obsessed with reality shows like this. I have no idea why, maybe it's a millennial thing... who knows. But this show was reeeeaaaally good. After watching the first enticing episode, I could not stop watching! The team is from Canada and they have cheerleaders from around the globe, and they compete in worlds at Disney World. I'm not going to ruin it for y'all, so I'll just leave it at "it's super good."

That's all for today, folks!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
