Ah the potato, it is arguably the best food I have ever had, and definitely, the best vegetable I've ever had. This amazing vegetable is a chameleon satisfying the tastes of McDonalds or caviar connoisseurs alike, different forms of potatoes can be found anywhere from the nearest drive thru to the most expensive steak house in town. Like Kanye, potatoes are insanely popular and bring in a lot of money every year...It is no surprise that there would be great debate over the best way to use these delicious vegetables, but that is all over now. Here I present you a definitive ranking of the forms of potatoes.
13. Boiled Potatoes
Boiled potatoes are bland and watery, and GROSS. I don't know why anyone would eat these unless they were blended with a lot of butter and cream (see: Mashed Potatoes)
12. Potato Salad
Let's be real, is the potato salad ever gone first? No.
11. Potato Soup
While I have had some pretty delicious potato soup, most turns out bland with a strange texture, hence it's low ranking on this list.
10. Potato Chips
These delicious fried crisps can be covered in just about anything, seriously there are cappuccino flavored chips. The immense variation allowed with these potatoes gives some great style points. However, the lack of substance makes users feel unsatisfied and unhealthy.
9. Baked Potatoes
They taste great with butter, sour cream and cheese...but then again everything does.
8. Roasted Potatoes
I don't know what it is about these potatoes, maybe it's the crisp on the outside or the springs of rosemary that trick me into thinking that they're healthy but roasted potatoes are pretty delicious and get an 8/13 in my book. Then again I would never try making them at home so I don't like them that much.
7. Tater Tots
There's a reason Napoleon didn't want to give up his tots. (hint: because they're delicious)
6. Potato Skins
Even if you've never had potato skins, you can't deny that these look AMAZING.
5. Gnocchi
Can't decide between potatoes or pasta? Have both with gnocchi! Not only is it delicious but it's also gluten free.
4. Hash Browns

Hash browns come in many different forms, all delicious. There's nothing that will get me out of bed before 10 on a Sunday, unless there are hash browns.
3. French Fries
French Fries, the universal food that almost everyone likes. These fried potatoes go great with everything from sea salt to melted cheese. Safe to say fries are one of the best forms of the potato.
2. Twice Baked Potato
Anyone who has had these before will attest that twice baked potatoes are maybe one of the best foods in the world. It's like mashed potatoes that have been baked in their skins with melted cheese on top, YUM!
1. Mashed Potatoes
Mashed potatoes is the food of the Gods. They are light fluffy and creamy all while packing a delicious tasted loaded with butter, cream, cream cheese, or whatever else the food network recommends. The amazing flavor and texture, as well as the longevity of mashed potatoes, is what lands these spuds as #1 on my list.
