Grammy Awards 2016 Edition

The Best And Worst Dressed

The Grammy Awards are my favorite award show of the season. They have the best music, the most insane collaboration performances and the widest variety of red carpet fashion. Outfit choice is a free for all and anything is acceptable; short dresses, ball gowns, fur, pasties, pantsuits...some celebrities have gone half naked to the Grammy's. To be honest I like watching the red carpet more than I like watching the show itself (but that might just be due to my fashion obsession).

The Grammys are where today’s top musicians team up with fashions most successful designers to create a show stopping look to be talked about for years. The Grammy’s gave us Rihanna’s Red Azzedine Alaia dress in 2013 and Gwyneth Paltrow’s short gold Versace dress in 2009. Alongside those stunning gowns, the Grammy’s have also given us some of the worst red carpet fashion to ever exist.

This year was no different than the rest. The 2016 Grammy Awards had some stunning looks and some of which should have never been created. With that said, here are some of the best and worst looks of The 2016 Grammy Awards red carpet.

Best Dressed

Bella Hadid

Everything about this Alexandre Vauthier dress is perfection. The cutouts are the perfect balance of sexy while staying classy. The simple styling compliments the dress and gives the entire look a taste of elegance.

Kaley Cuoco

This is a tough jumpsuit to pull off, but Kaley did it effortlessly. This Naeem Khan jumpsuit is glamorous and unique without being too over the top. The tousled hair and simple accessories make this look a perfect ten in my eyes.

Selena GomezSelena killed the red carpet game with this Calvin Klein sparkly dress. It shows off all her curves perfectly and is a nice color for her skin tone. I think everyone can agree that Selena is a complete bombshell.

CiaraMost people might think Ciara's Alexandre Vauthier dress is too scandalous, but I admire her for being able to pull off that high of a slit. Because the dress is loose on the top is makes the super exposed leg sexy instead of trashy. This might be my favorite look of the entire night.

Taylor SwiftColor blocking done to perfection. Taylor swift pulled off the bright bold colors flawlessly with this Versace two-piece. I don't love her new hair cut because it kind of reminds me of Lord Farquaad from Shrek, but regardless of the hair, Taylor's outfit is flattering, gorgeous and definitely helped brighten up the red carpet.

Chrissy TeigenI considered Chrissy Teigen as one of the best dressed simply because she pulls off pregnant better than any other red carpet celebrity I have seen recently. Props to Yousef Al-Jasmi for designing an incredible maternity red carpet dress. I love that she's embracing her baby bump and her pregnancy glow is the perfect accessory for this beautiful white dress.

Worst Dressed

Demi LovatoThe top half is good. It is the bottom half that I hate. The front slit isn't flattering and the maxi skirt under the blazer makes Demi look like she is trying to look trendy for a business meeting with Sears. I do give her credit for the jewelry though...she's wearing 2.4 million dollars worth of it.

ZendayaI support the whole menswear look women have been going for these days. Its not Zendaya's outfit that got her on the worst dressed list. It is her HAIR. It looks a Billy Ray Cyrus mullet mixed with first album Justin Bieber hair. She's a gorgeous girl, but that hair needs to go.

Tove Lo

I respect the septum ring, but the dress looks like a witch costume made out of cheap lingerie. That's pretty much all.

Skylar GreyBold choice Skylar Grey. Yes this dress has an artistic and edgy vibe to it, which I can always appreciate. However I can't seem to move past the fact that there is a face made out of tule covering her lady parts. It's just kind of creepy.

Vanessa SimmonsVanessa Simmons' dress looks like the designer took their grandma's living room curtains and sewed them together to create this little number. She pulls off yellow quite well, which is hard to do, but the fabric is hideous and it doesn't look very flattering for her boobs.

Andra Day

Easily the worst dressed of the night. I hate everything about this look. It is a weird length, the fabric looks like a bad prom dress and the fur shoes look like they were stolen from Mrs.Claus. The whole outfit is very cheap and mermaid-looking. It's just too much bad all wrapped into one look.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
