1. When you're getting organized for the semester.

If you are anything like me, you find lots of excitement in picking out the perfect planner and getting yourself all organized for the upcoming semester.

2. When you realize the amount of work you have ahead of you.

During the time your professors are giving you a rundown of the semester, you will probably have a small (or large) panic attack as you realize how much upcoming work you have.

3. When you text your mom for moral support.

It's extremely likely you will text your mom for support when you are freaking out about how stressed you are for classes and this upcoming semester.

4. When you're reunited with your friends.

There is nothing more exciting than jumping into your friend’s arms after being apart from each other all summer.

5. When you try to find the best coffee on campus.

You may think all coffee places on campus are the same and you can just stop off at any one to grab your daily cup of caffeine. However, finding the best coffee location is essential to a successful semester.

6. When you notice the price of books.

While looking over the syllabi you will quickly come across the section of ‘required texts’ and suddenly realize your teachers require books that are very expensive.

7. When you have to say goodbye to home cooked meals.

While not all of the food is terrible, it doesn’t compare to what my parents cook at home. It’s important for you to search for the best food on campus and stick to it.

8. When you adjust to your new sleeping routine.

While the school year often means sleep deprivation, every once in a while you get lucky enough to have a full night’s sleep, or a surprise nap during your busy days.

9. When you are getting back into your school pattern.

With little sleep, stressful homework, and endless hours in the library, it’s not uncommon for us college students to be a bit…on edge every now and again. Though you may try to deny it, we all have our cranky moments as a result from school.

10. When you think about how excited you are to be back.

Yes, summer will be missed, but how great is it to be back with all of your friends 24/7? While school brings its fair share of challenges, at least you know you are all going through it together. Now you have someone to spend eternity in the library with.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
