What do you think when you hear the word summer? I think of hot weather and days spent outside. Whether you are a student or an adult, many people live for the beauty and fun that summer days bring. I am a senior in college who is about to enjoy her last summer vacation of not having a big girl job.
To me summer means going to sleep whenever I want and waking up whenever I want. It means reuniting with all my friends who are home from school for 3 whole months. Summer means laying out by my pool with my sisters and friends. It means having limited responsibilities. Summer is a large break for all who need it. Time for students and teachers to recoup from the long year they have had. It gives families opportunities to spend time together whether you are home or on a vacation. It allows a large amount of ice cream consumption, and who doesn't love that?
Summer time is the best time. Though many people prefer other seasons, the season of summer gives our society some of the best experiences and opportunities. It's time to put down the books and take time off of work. Time to soak of some vitamin D and enjoy the beauty of the summer sun.
