The Beauty Of A Christ-Centered Relationship

Up until this point in my life, I had never dated anyone who was a Christian. It's not like there has been that many, but still, for that being something so important to me, you would think I would have dated someone who had the same beliefs as me. Unfortunately, that was something that was really hard for me to find. I have been so blessed to be in the relationship that I am in now and it is a Christ-Centered relationship.

Now I know for some this whole thing may not seem like a big deal or something that needs to be important in a relationship, but let me tell you, it is. There are so many wonderful things that come into play when being in a Christ-Centered relationship. I am not an expert on this in any way shape or form, but let me tell you some of the amazing things that I have experienced. The best part of all of this is being able to know that you are on the same page with God. In general, being able to go to God is helpful, but being able to have a relationship where you both can lean on and grow in God is pretty cool. Another sweet moment of this kind of relationship is being able to do things together. I have absolutely loved being able to serve and go to church with my boyfriend. It is a really special and beautiful moment.

Another truly beautiful part of a Christ-Centered relationship is being able to support each other through Christ. When either one of you is having a rough moment or season, it is something that you can work through together. On top of that, you are able to encourage one another, not only with your words but with the love and promises of God. Now that encouragement is something truly special.

Being able to have a relationship that is Christ-Centered is something that is so important for Christians. Not only are you growing in your personal relationship with the Lord, but you also get to grow with someone else with the Lord. God's creation has such a wondrous beauty to it and the same goes for your significant other. When Christ is the center of your relationship, not only do you get the support but you also get to see that person as a wonderful creation of the Lord. It brings a whole new level of beauty to the person you are dating because you know that God made them perfect in who they are.

I talked a lot about all of the good things that I have experienced and I know everyone has a different experience. IN the end, you can never go wrong with having God at the center of your relationship. It allows you to grow in ways that you never thought possible. It can be a scary moment of opening up to someone that much, but if they are who you want to be with, why should that stop you.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
