ABC’s hit TV show, The Bachelor(ette), has made a name for itself in the reality television category. A chosen bachelor (or bachelorette) is chosen to try to find their soulmate, meeting and forming relationships with 25 candidates.

With most viewers, there is no in-between when it comes to perspective – you either love it or you hate it. For many, tuning into the program provides Monday night entertainment. You look forward to seeing who will get the one-one-one date, and which contenders stir up all the drama. Regardless of whether you love or hate the show, if you’re caught watching you can probably relate to having these thoughts:

1. Bachelor Monday! What happened last week again?

2. He’s not very attractive.

3. He’s very attractive.

4. “Pantrepreneur” is a career? Maybe there’s hope for me.

5. Too many glasses of wine for that one.

6. I wonder what they said to their kids when they left.

7. How do you even get on this show?

8. What does Chris Harrison do all day?

9. You have a ton of dresses to choose and you picked that one?

10. Please stop using one-liners.

11. I feel awkward.

12. I should count how many times someone says “vulnerable.”

13. Yup, I definitely want Chris Harrison’s job.

14. There’s no way he/she’s a front-runner, must be a producer pick.

15. She did not just say that out loud.

16. More tears…

17. Where did that guy/girl come from?

18. I should also count how many times someone is “falling in love.”

19. Surprise, he gave him his blessing.

20. I give it 6 months.

Whether you cringe at hearing the title or you set a reminder weeks in advance…you can’t deny the fact it’s entertaining (and ridiculous). Tune in next week and you’ll catch yourself thinking a few of the same thoughts.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
