Growing up is not easy. Most people had to go through an awkward stage to get to where they are today, and if they’re lucky, they had a pretty remarkable transformation.

Almost everyone has cringeworthy throwback photos of themselves. Whether it was when you spontaneously decided to try out bangs or had to get braces, you can most likely recall a time in your life that you know wasn't your peak. You know, that part of your childhood that you wish your mom didn't document?

I wish I could relate, but to be honest, I really can't. I actually think my entire childhood was a peak, and as I got older, things only got better for me. Looking back at old photos of myself, I find it hard to empathize with those who had an awkward stage.

I know it's hard to believe that someone can be fortunate enough to skip out on such a painful and confusing time in one's life, but I guess I was lucky. I don't know if it's because I was blessed with good genes or ate all my fruits and vegetables, but I can tell you that if you want to see what it looks like to have an ideal childhood development, keep reading.

Disclaimer: If you are easily envious, proceed with caution. I am not here to brag, I am only putting these pictures out there to show you guys how I did it. How I managed to stay flawless growing up and skip out on any awkward stages altogether.

Here's how it all played out:

As I entered elementary school, reality started to sink in.

I was the pinnacle of perfection.

People always ask me:

"Did you model as a kid?"

Yes, in fact, I did.

I was on a strict diet growing up, which is how I maintained my toned and fit physique.

I got it from my papa.

I also trained as a multi-sport athlete, which kept me active and in supreme shape.

Sitting on the bench was a rare occurrence for me.

I had an impeccable fashion sense and I always knew the hottest trends before they even became popular.

You could say I slayed every day.

I was also chill enough to just hang out and be one of the dudes.

I could go from a flirty girly-girl to a total bro within seconds.

My hair was always done and I kept up with the latest styles.

I sported everything from wigs, to cornrows, to side bangs.

My looks never faltered, even when I was caught off guard.

The camera was literally obsessed with me.

As I got older, I adapted to the party scene well.

I could pop, lock, jam and break better than anyone else.

I knew I was hot sh*t, and I wasn't afraid to flaunt it.

Tween celebrity status.

Confidence is KEY.

I was also a frequent shopper at Justice and Limited Too.

Every outfit was a masterpiece.

Even with metal in my mouth, I always knew how to take the perfect selfie.

I had no bad angles.

And finally, at age 13, I pursued a career as a Tumblr model and the rest was history.

I guess it all goes downhill from there.

So, there you have it. These were just some things I did growing up to stay on my A-game and avoid those awkward years altogether. You could say I was #blessed.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
