The old cottage, with its wildly overgrown garden, was silent, secretive. You wouldn't of known that someone lived there. In fact a 44 year old kind women. She has lived in Taxchester, Michigan her whole life. Everybody's family went into the mining business . Yes accidents happen but she never thought it would happen to her. Bonnie Wilson was Very happy until her husband died. After that she really had lost everything that had value. She slowly started over buying stuff with what money she had, slowly filling up her cottage. If you were to walk in and live there you would get sick within the first night. For the 25 years that Bonnie has lived there she hasn't got sick once. Her sister is starting to worry about her and Bonnie won't let her help.

One day Bonnie's sister Bethany shows up to the cottage to attempt to help her sister. Bethany walks up to the door and knocks three times. Bonnie never comes to the door so she knocks another three times. There was still no answer so she turns the rusty door knob and tries to walk in. Crawling over all the junk in the hall way she makes her way towards whats left of the kitchen. She finds her sister sitting there drinking a cup of coffee.

"Oh Bethany! I didn't hear you come in!"

"It's okay sis I was just coming to check on you."

"Well clearly you can see that I am fine."

Bethany has a shocked look on her face. How can Bonnie possibly be fine living in a place like this? Right then Bethany knew there was only one option left to do. She had to kidnap her sister and keep her out of this cottage. She went to her sister and picked her up then attempted to carry her sister out of there. She ignored the hitting and kicking her sister was doing and put her in her car seat belting her tight. Because Bonnie is so weak she couldn't get out. Her sister than drover her to a mental ward wear Bonnie was never to be seen again.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
