"Buddy?" Andrea was surprised. "What are you doing here?"

"Same as you," Buddy retorted, "Saving the world."

"Vandrea and I just destroyed Plantius!" Glenn exclaimed proudly.

"Yes, I saw," Buddy said dully, "Vandrea, I've been watching you for some time now."

"It's been three days since you gave me my powers." Andrea reminded him.

"Whatever," Buddy said, uninterested. "Point is, there's a big galactic secret I think it's time to let you in on. Now, please follow me."

The cat turned and began to strut away, leaving Andrea standing confused next to Glenn. Glenn began to follow Buddy down the street, leaving Andrea to watch the two dumbfounded. She really wished that Buddy would stop dropping such important bombshells on her so suddenly. First she had powers, then she had to save the world, now there was a galactic secret that he had to let her in on. Andrea was just getting used to the inanimate objects that abruptly had a penchant for trying to destroy her hometown. Buddy looked over his shoulder.

"Come along now." He said without looked back at Andrea.

"Come on! This'll be fun!" Glenn said, barely able to contain his excitement. Andrea took a deep breath and followed the blind cat and the gunslinger down the street.

Buddy led them on a twisting and turning maze through Stoneport. Andrea had a hard enough time following a regular size human around, much less a cat that had no trouble leaving her in the dust. Luckily, Glenn was so enthusiastic about the mysterious journey they were embarking on that he managed to both keep an eye on Buddy and make sure that Andrea was keeping pace at the same time.

"This is gonna be great, Vandrea!" Glenn reassured her, motioning her to keep up. By the end of Buddy's long stroll through the city of Stoneport, Andrea was incredibly tired. She was afraid that if she was seated she would fall asleep instantly. The effort put into destroying a 100-foot tall plant monster plus this extensive quest through her hometown had drained her. What she needed, she thought, was to lie down in her bed and sleep for a few days.

"Ah, here we are." Buddy finally said, looking at one of Stoneport's few alleyways. Andrea noticed something immediately: they were looking at a whole lot of nothing. Buddy looked proud, Glenn looked excited, and Andrea looked flabbergasted; together they completed a wide emotional spectrum.

"You took us on this long walk just to show us an empty alley?" Andrea said between deep breaths.

"Of course not," Buddy scoffed, He walked up to a particularly empty spot and began to purr. "I'd stand back if I were you."

Glenn pulled Andrea back away from Buddy just in time for them to witness the uncloaking of Buddy's spaceship. It was small in comparison to the United States' proud rockets, but it looked far more advanced and sported a gleaming coat of dark blue paint to boot. It was probably the size of a modern RV, but with more aerodynamic angles.

"You have a space ship..." Andrea stammered.

"Isn't it awesome!" Glenn more yelled than asked.

"Please, we don't have all day," Buddy rolled his eyes, "Please follow me."

Buddy floated up into the ship from where he was standing, and Glenn enthusiastically followed suit, leaving Andrea by herself staring at the ship. Andrea quickly played back all of the events of the past three days: the evil dryers, Buddy's bestowal of her powers, the giant fern attack, meeting Buddy, freeing Plantius–Andrea had seen a lot of weird things. How, she thought to herself, could this get any weirder? Then again, she continued her thought train, she could be bored to death working at Wilson's Mexican restaurant, so she didn't have a lot to lose.

"Ah, what the hell," Andrea muttered to herself, taking the same position as Buddy and Glenn before her, and floating into the spaceship.

In a scene that shouldn't have surprised Andrea at all, the interior of the spaceship was covered in carpeting. Presumably, Buddy used the entire interior as a scratching post whenever he pleased. Andrea easily found her way through the interior of the ship to the cockpit, where Buddy sat at the simple controls, licking his left paw, while Glenn sat in a passenger seat, jamming to Slayer's "South of Heaven."

"Your spaceship has a radio?" Andrea quizzed Buddy as she sat in the last empty passenger seat.

"Took you long enough," Buddy ignored her. He finished licking his paw and pressed a button on the console, before beginning to lick his other paw. The ship began to flutter in the lonely alleyway of Stoneport, before blasting off into the space at a speed Andrea thought previously unattainable. Andrea clutched the surprisingly soft armrests of her seat, while Buddy and Glenn continued their respective activities. It was as if they had both done this a million times, and it was filling them with boredom. Andrea was filled with a different emotion: fear. The windshield was a blur, the people around her were oblivious, and none of the flashing lights or buttons in the cockpit made any sense to Andrea; everything was in a language completely foreign to her.

However, before Andrea had time to take in what was happening around her, the ship suddenly stopped. Andrea looked out the windshield to see an amazing sight. Her gaze fell upon a massive space station, glittering in white and glass, standing perfectly still with a beautiful, yet completely alien, green planet floating behind it. It was as if the space station were a royal bodyguard protecting the planet from all harm.

"Wow," Andrea said dumbfounded.

"It's amazing isn't it?" Glenn said with a smile, his music having finally come to its conclusion.

"Welcome," Buddy interrupted, "to The Confederation."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
