The ABC's That Only People From Harvard Will Get

The ABC's That Only People From Harvard Will Get

A is for Annenberg, where the aesthetics are way better than the food. But hey, you can still pretend you go to Hogwarts while eating a salad with a few crickets.

B is for blocking, the demise of many freshman friendships.

C is for concentration, Harvard's pretentious word for major.

D is for Duck Tours, because everyone needs to duck out of Harvard at some point, and why not actually drive around Boston in a Duck!

E is for exercise, something that Harvard students barely have the time for.

F is for Felipe's, a Harvard student's basic diet.

G is for Gen Eds, which make Harvard students have "aesthetic", "ethical", and "empirical" reasoning, whatever that means.

H is for Head of the Charles, a weekend during which you can prove you go to Harvard by watching boats and getting free stuff!

I is for Ice: hopefully, it will be the temperature of your frozen yogurt at Pinkberry and not your hands in the middle of February.

J is for the John Harvard Statue: nobody touch the foot.

K is for the Kong: If you haven't had a scorpion bowl yet, what are you doing with your life?

L is for Lamonsters...smelly people...please take a shower

M is for the Mather Turkey, the Snap story famous creature.

N is for Noch's, the only pizza that tastes good both drunk and sober.

O is for the Observatory, a beautiful place to visit at night and a much better way to learn astronomy than getting a C in some class

P is for Primal Scream...you know what I am talking about.

Q is for Quadded, something that nobody wants

R is for Reading Period, the saddest week of all time.

S is for Sledding: grab that Annenberg tray and hurt your butt slidding down the Widener Steps.

T is for Tourists: Get out of my damn way. I'm late for LS1B in the Science Center

U is for Undergrad, the low man on the totem pole when it comes to Harvard.

V is for Visitas, the weekend that started it all...or the weekend that made you questions why you wanted to come here in the first place.

W is for Widener, the prettiest library eva.

X is eXams, where you pull those all nighters and hopefully bust out a B.

Y is for Yuck Fale: #9peat.

Z is Zinnekens, the best waffle place around.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
