There will always be the professors that are extremely laid back and lenient.
Then there are the few that go completely overboard during your class time with them. I know there are a few things that you will hope for when you walk into your classes during the first day.
These are just a handful of the certain things your professor might tell you that might ruin your day or in other words ruin that class.
1. "Stand up and introduce yourself."
It's crazy because this doesn't sound like a very hard thing to do, but it really is if you are afraid to talk in front of the entire class. Your professor might tell you to say you name, where you're from, what school you went to, and your SSN.
2. " Your entire grade is weighed by only your exams."
Yes, these are literally the words from Satan himself. No project points, nothing! You're all on your own.
3. "Don't bring food to class; it distracts everyone."
It's not distracting. You're just jealous you're not having a 3 course meal from Olive Garden on your desk.
4. "Open your book to page 5."
First of all why don't teachers start teaching on page 1 instead of some other page. Also, I don't want to start learning on the first day, I'll have enough to deal with today.
5. "There will be no extra credit."
No extra credit? OK, then I won't show up. Just kidding, I need a good grade in here.
6. "Participation points are a big percentage of your grade in this class."
We all love hearing this phrase in our classes. Looks like I might fail this year from your participating.
7. "Attendance will be mandatory."
