7 Reasons Why "Bachelor: Paradise" Is Actually Better Than "The Bachelor"

Two seasons ago when I decided to join Bachelor Nation, I was instantly hooked. The tears, the drama, and the romance all make for great entertainment. It wasn’t until this summer that I started watching “Bachelor: Paradise," when I realized the show could get even more jaw-dropping. Below are seven reasons as to why you should take your love of "The Bachelor" and move it to paradise.

The cast is familiar.

  • We know who we love, and more importantly, we know who we hate. Each season, we see our favorites get their hearts broken, and are crushed because we will never see them on television again. Thankfully, our spirits are brightened when we see them appear back on the island.

Tears, tears and more tears.

  • My personal favorite this season, Ashley I., certainly loves herself a good cry. Whether it’s because of something trivial such as her makeup smudging or she's getting emotional about another girl going after her guy, her face is constantly flooded with tears.

Each person already knows who he or she wants.

  • After watching everyone else’s seasons, each cast member already has someone in mind that he or she will be pining for. Cue the drama when there’s one person who’s a hot commodity and the rest will fight until the death to get what they want.

The location.

  • A tropical setting means sun, guys with their shirts off, and lots of fruity drinks to go around. All of these elements combined create the perfect backdrop to find love and cause some entertaining troubles along the way.

Relationships can change on a weekly basis.

  • Unlike “The Bachelor," viewers get to follow several relationships at once. The real entertainment comes when people change their minds or suddenly are interested in more than one person.

Both boys and girls give out the roses.

  • This means that no one is ever safe. The contestant may think that he or she is getting a rose from someone, and then that person pulls a total 180 and gives it to someone that no one was expecting at all.

Chris Harrison is involved.

  • Yes, he is also on “The Bachelor," but he is an even bigger part of “Bachelor: Paradise”. From recapping the previous week and handing out infamous date cards, Chris Harrison is the poster boy for Bachelor Nation and no show would be complete without him. If only he could be one of the contestants.

After watching each cast members’ respective seasons, it’s hard to not want to see where they're at and watch them attempt to find love again. You know which former contestants you’re rooting for and who you can’t wait to see go home again. If you have yet to see "Bachelor: Paradise" or any "Bachelor" show for that matter, I highly recommend.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
