The 6 Best Apps For Christian Women In College

As a young woman in college, I find myself giving the same excuse to God on repeat: I'm too busy. But in all honesty, how many hours do you spend on your phone, tweeting and reading Facebook posts? Admit it, we have the time for God. However, what if I told you that there's an app to help you pray every day? These tools will equip you to make sure you give some of your time to God as school approaches. A healthy soul is a peaceful soul. Here are the 6 best resources for you, a woman of God, as you walk in faith with Christ.

6. The Bible App

This app allows you to take the Word of God wherever you go. As much as I love my 10-year-old pink teen Bible with highlights and scribbles everywhere, this app gives you features such as highlighting, commenting, bible plans, and devotionals. You can also choose from an array of translations, but please don't use the Message bible!

5. Life.Church

This goes along with the Bible app, and goes more in-depth with studies and plans adjusted for your needs. You can also listen to sermons dedicated to what you want to hear in case you miss a Sunday ;). Click here to download.

4. SoulScripts

This is a free website where you can sign up and receive weekly emails written by Jordan Lee, and are so well-spoken and relevant to recent topics. She also has a Facebook page which posts daily devotionals. Click here to follow her Facebook page and subscribe.

3. Pandora

I know... it's a little contradictory for a "Christian" app, but I always queue up Pandora while I'm getting ready in the morning for worship music (aka Kari Jobe Radio, Jon Foreman, Audrey Assad, etc..) and I always feel renewed to go out and conquer the world. Download here.

2. Abide

If I could endorse this app, I would. I LOVE Abide, and how easy it is to use. Every morning and before I go to bed, Abide gives a simple, two-minute devotional and prayer to ease you into an encouraged spirit.

1. She Reads Truth

This is a bible/devotional app specifically tailored for women of God. I absolutely adore the clean look of this app, and the plans they provide. They also have an array of lock screens for you to choose what verse you'd like to read every time you open your phone. Download here.

It's harder than ever to sacrifice ourselves to the fullness and glory of God. Use what God has provided you to seek Him, even for just five minutes. Don't compromise your faith for the sins technology can carry. Be blessed and know that God is always with you.

"Whatever you do, do it ALL for the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
