When I was 16, I couldn’t wait to be in my 20’s and gain the respect of being a young adult. I soon realized even at the age of 21, people still perceived me as a newbie freshman. The college struggles as a baby-faced senior can be described as a pure annoyance, it sucks.
Every college senior who has baby face can relate to these five things:
1. When getting ready for a job fair, it takes no effort at all to look like a child dressing up like their parents for work.
Not even heels and makeup can save you from looking like you're a contestant from "Toddlers and Tiaras" because people literally assume you're a youngling.
2. If you encounter those volunteer helpers walking around campus, they mistake you for a freshman looking lost.

No, no. I'm just waiting for my friends. I'm fine. Please let me be.
3. Then you run into underclassmen who try to connect with you because they think you're in the same boat as them.
Of
Freshman: "Oh my gosh these upperclassmen are so rude! Freshmen are the best right!?"
Me: "Um Hun I'm a Sophomore..."
4. Trying to find a new job on campus after the summer is also problematic.
When someone tries to figure who has more authority in the work place by how you look. I'm the same age as you, buddy, just saying.
Person Training Me: “So is this your first job, are you a freshman?”
Me: “Nope. I’m actually a senior.”
Person Training Me: “oh okay cool.” * Awkwardly continues to show me how to do things *
5. Trying to check something out from the school system and not showing up as a student even though you've been enrolled for four years...
Me: “I'm here to check out a camera for my Comm 269 class.”
Media Tech Guy: * Swipes Student Id * Well seems like you’re not in our system, are you a freshman? “
Me: “No I’m A senior…”
Media Tech Guy: “Huh…that’s weird, well I can’t give you any equipment right now.”
Me: “sighs in frustration…”
So to all you baby faced seniors out there, don't worry about looking younger than your age. One day it's going to be your greatest advantage...
Be the next JLo because in 10 years people are going be jealous of your youthful visage! If you got it, flaunt it.
