A look into the first week back from the perspectives of some of our favorite loft mates.

Nobody is allowed to smite me for bringing this up so soon. I’m sorry, but we just have to face the fact that going back to school is inevitable and its coming, its right around the corner. Try not to blink… seriously, try not to blink. SO, to try and smooth things over, the amazing cast of New Girl decided to help us get through the first week back.

Sunday-All the excitement knowing that you will be seeing all of your friends tomorrow since you didn’t just see them the night before or anything.

Yes, there are some friends that you have seen all summer, but knowing tomorrow is the time that not only let you see those friends, but see everyone else that you haven’t seen all summer just gives you extreme joy. You literally can barely sleep that night, and you’re just thinking to yourself, “Well, at least that’s the bright side of my summer officially ending tomorrow.”

Monday- The day is finally here!! You officially get to see your own pack of weirdos after just leaving your first round of classes filled with syllabi.

It’s finally lunch time and you are walking through the Student Union and just continuously running into people you know all over the place. You finally make it over to your usual table and everyone you have missed is there. You are absolutely thrilled and just can’t believe you didn’t want to come back to this place.

Tuesday- Today is kind of just a repeat of yesterday, you see some of the people you missed and you still are just doing classroom introductions in your second round of classes.

There really isn’t a whole lot of new stuff going on today, except that you get to see what your second round of classes are going to look like and you might see some of the people that you didn’t see yesterday. All in all this day can be just as shocking as yesterday or maybe just like any other day. How you take it is up to you.

Wednesday- You realize all the happiness was short-lived when you find out that one of your professor’s is assigning you your first paper of the semester and it’s due on Friday.

Seriously?! It’s only the second day of this class, how can this possibly be happening to you? Did all your professors just band together to come up with ways to ruin your week? Who assigns a paper on the SECOND DAY OF CLASS? You figure you will probably just curl into a ball and cry.

Thursday- You think you’ll be the perfect student and accomplish your assignment early so you are feeling pretty good about yourself, until you get it proofread:

Well this is just starting to get ridiculous. You actually put off watching Netflix for this and this is the thanks that you get?

After you disown your friend for the day to get some work done, you realize you might be starting your first all-nighter of the semester. FML.

Friday- CHEERS TO THE FREAKING WEEKEND!!

You have officially made it through your first week back! Congrats! You got that paper turned in on time and it only had slight tear stains, not severe. Good for you! You deserve a drink! It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?

Saturday- ...

Well said Winston, well said.

Sunday- You realize you get to do it all over again tomorrow

I mean, good luck on the rest of your semester. Remember that you are not alone and that there is always going to be at least one, maybe a hundred other students who feel your pain. But I believe if we all band together, we can overcome this semester and make it great… and if not, well, there’s always Netflix… and New Girl.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
