Don't get me wrong, I love my hair. However, I'm not convinced that having thick hair is a blessing. It's an ongoing struggle that brings woes more often than not.
Here are 15 problems every girl with thick can understand:
1. Hair ties are too tight
You try to wrap the hair tie 3 times and end up losing circulation in your fingers. So, this forces you to leave it at 2 wrap arounds.
2. Hair ties are too loose
Because too tight isn't bad enough, when you stretch a hair tie out too much you are redoing your ponytail 5 or 6 times a day.
There is no happy medium, really.
3. The constant shedding
Your friends always seem to find your hair around their house in just about every room, and because of this, you've thought about carrying a travel vacuum around.
4. Broken hair brushes
Because you have thick hair, you don't have time to be tender headed. So, when you reach a bad tangle, you relentlessly pull at that bad boy, determined to win. All of a sudden, *snap*. Hair brush is broken.
hair: 1 you: 0.
5. Taking 5ever to blow dry
It's a never ending process.
6. Your hair hurting from wearing a pony tail
Probably the worst pain to experience.
7. You have to wake up earlier than everyone to do your hair.
Cause waking up for class just isn't bad enough.
8. If you sleep on it wet, you wake up with a mane.
Bed head is not a cute look. I promise
9. LOL @ pintrest tutorials
....those are just for thin hair girls....
10. Somehow you run out of shampoo waaayyyyyy before conditioner
Like, I really don't understand where it all goes...
11. Your hair literally eats bobby pins.
You can start with a 100 pack of bobby pins and within the month, you're down to 4! Where do they go? Yeah, I'd like to know too.
12. You have to get your hair thinned approximately every 6 weeks.
When you look on the ground after getting it thinned, it literally looks like you have lost half your head of hair. You also have a mild panic attack cause you didn't want it thinned that much.
13. Short hair isn't an option.
The triangle look isn't a cute look on anyone.
14. Curling and straightening your hair actually takes forever.
prepare at least an hour in advance.
15. You can go through a pack of hair ties in about 2 weeks.
You either lose them, or they break. regardless they aren't around for long.
What's the one benefit to having thick hair?
Hair flips are always flawless.
