The 15 Laws Of Girl Code

If girls weren't complicated enough, we have actual codes that we are bound by, laws that we have to abide by and strict guidelines of which we follow. Learn them, memorize them, live by them and nothing more, with that you are promised drama-free (well maybe not completely) friendships with your mains. Take notes ladies, because these are 15 of the rules that should forever be instilled in your brains.

1.First and foremost, NEVER touch another girl’s ex. Ex boo thang, ex bae, ex boyfriend, ex anything. Off limits.

2. Never break a date with a girlfriend to go out with a guy.

3.Brownies and pizza have zero calories in the time of need. Especially in excessive amounts. Oh and ice cream, don’t forget ice cream.

4.Guys will never understand the bathroom buddy rule, but never question it. If your friend insists you go, then you go.

5. Wine nights are acceptable any day of the week, per any occasion. Friends don’t let friends drink wine alone.

6. The only acceptable time to be a bitch to your girls: when your cycles sync up, the PMS is unavoidable.

7. You are obligated and required under all circumstances to like your girls’ posts on any social media platform. Even if it’s a failed Pinterest attempt that you already blatantly made fun of her for.

8. “She’s lesbian”, “She has a boyfriend”, “We’re out for a girls night”—all possible phrases to avoid creepy guys at the bar. Use them often, use them well.

9. If your friend’s outfit is anything less than superb, you let them know. You’re only as hot as your crew, sorry bout it.

10. If your friend drops the “don’t let me text him tonight,” you make it your duty and last mission to not let her text whomever should not be named.

11. Always be prepared for a selfie at any given moment. Never shy away.

12. Blackmail is only acceptable for birthdays and the arbitrary reminders that hey, look how many chins you can make yourself have.

13. Inside jokes shall not be explained to any outsiders.

14.Never judge a friend for wearing sweatpants for a week straight post-breakup. If anything, join in on the trend for moral support.

15.The golden rule: Chicks before dicks, ‘nuff said.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
