This week, I decided to do a little tribute to one of my favorite TV shows of all time: "New Girl." Also, it's time for me to start being sad about my summer quickly going down the drain as I start my summer class soon. However, with sadness we have to find some way to make it through these times, such as humor.
1. Waking up.
You're a complete and total zombie. You've been sleeping in almost every day for the last three weeks and now you're up at 7 a.m. dreading the first day.
2. Introductions.

Your professor introduces himself and tells you to prepare for a test per week, at least. He also informs you that it's quite possible he won't learn your names in a month, so he will be picking names from the roll.
3. Classmates.

You don't know anyone in your summer course but you know you're going to need a study buddy so you are trying to be on your best behavior and make a friend. Sadly, you're just awkward and don't know how, so that may take awhile.
4. End of the day.

You make it out of the first class alive, but not without the professor reminding you to be there at the same time tomorrow. I mean it's not like you didn't know but who needs that going through their mind the rest of the day.
5. Embarrassment.
The next day is a little better, until your professor does that calling by the roll thing instead of asking you the answer of the questions you actually knew. So, then you're sitting there without an answer and feeling like a complete idiot.
6. "Group" work.

Then your study group ends up going from six people to two when nobody wants to do their work. Even when it's a six-page paper in three days and you need everyone to pull their own weight to get it done.
7. Emotions.

When studying becomes too much and you finally lose your cool or maybe you never truly had it...either way it's gone now. So all you really want to do is be alone and cry a little but your parents insist you're going to be just fine.
8. Missing fun.

All of your friends are going to spend the day out on the lake but you have a huge exam the next morning and with only four weeks of class you cannot afford to fail. So you end up sulking to your best friend and wishing you never took the class.
9. Last assignment.

You tried really hard to work on this and be motivated but you just want the class to be over with. But when your partner reads over it for mistakes -- well, they're not impressed.
10. The end.
Then, it's the last day and you're taking your final. You go in pretty excited and you come out totally bummed. But then it's over and you're done. So it's time to celebrate!
Good luck to all of you on your summer classes and if you're not taking any, take that much needed break before we all go back this fall! Oh, and check out "New Girl" if you haven't already.
