Sitting in your last class before Thanksgiving Break like...
Waking up and realizing you can eat all day.
You can't contain your excitement for a delicious home-cooked meal over frozen meals and cheap campus food.
When your mom gets overwhelmed while cooking, and all you are trying to do is help.
Realizing that you can't wear sweat pants and have to look semi-decent.
When your family asks, "How's college going?"
Or my personal favorite, "Where's your boyfriend?"
Macy's Thanksgiving Parade makes you relive your childhood.
Entertainment includes: sibling rivalries, grandpa falling asleep in the chair, and inappropriate jokes at the table.
Waiting for the food to get done is torture.
...And then we all race to the kitchen.
Once everyone is seated, it is chow time.
Putting gravy on everything because gravy is life.
Then the food baby reveals itself. Followed by everything hurting and you feeling like you may explode.
When someone tries to pass you the cranberry salad.
Ooooh, and when you see that dessert. Food Baby number two.
Always realizing your family is insane once again.
Football outside and football on TV. FOOTBALL YEAH!
Followed by when you realize school has to start up again...
We all have crazy families. Remember to be thankful for yours, and to always cover your food in gravy. Happy Thanksgiving from me to you!
