We've been waiting all year for this!

Thanksgiving comes around once a year and when it finally arrives, we all experience the same emotions no matter where we happen to be.

Waking up and realizing it is Thanksgiving...

We've been waiting all year for this!

When the whole house smells like Turkey and all things Thanksgiving...

It's beginning to smell a lot like Thanksgiving!

Hearing "no" every time you ask if dinner is ready...

Your stomach is rumbling, your mouth is watering, and your family has the audacity to not have it ready when you are. It is just plain cruel.

Being asked the same questions by all your family members...

Everyone knows the struggle of each family member asking you the same questions over and over. Some, you don't even know the answer to.

Being asked, "you go to *insert any school that is not yours*, right?"

We all have that family member who does not pay attention to our lives but is so sure of themselves. No, I do not go to school there but I do go to the school I've been attending for years now, thank you for keeping up.

Coming in the kitchen as soon as dinner is ready...

I've been waiting all day for this very moment, hand me a plate and fork, I'm ready to do some real damage.

Acting like you care about dinner conversation when all your focus is on the food...

I don't care what you posted on Facebook yesterday or where you're going shopping for Black Friday, I am strictly business right now.

Looking around for the first person to go get seconds...

No one wants to be that guy, once the first person gets up to get seconds it opens a door for all. Thank you in advanced to the brave soul that initiates the first move, you are wonderful and we are extremely thankful for you.

Grabbing seconds and looking at the food as passionately you did the first time...

It's a feeling that never goes away or fades. Thanksgiving dinner is the only thing you can count on nowadays.

When your family members give you a look of disapproval for how fast you scarfed down your meal...

I've been living off of microwave dinner and ramen for the past 3 months, let me enjoy this home cooked meal in peace.

Even after your four-course dinner, there's always room for dessert...

Unless Rachel messed up the trifold again, there will always be space in our completely stuffed stomachs for dessert!

Checking yourself out in the mirror after feasting...

The food baby is the biggest it's ever been but it's all good, it was all worth it in the end.

Finally relaxing after the dinner...

Take a nice long nap or bubble bath, you earned it after all the hard work did not do today.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
