Thank You, Little

As long as I'm living my little you'll be

Thank You, Little
Stephanie Swann

Little,

I don't think you understand how much I love you or how much I stalked you before you even knew me...

Thank you for being my little sister that I have always wanted. I asked God so many times for a little sister and He heard those prayers when He sent me you. For years I wondered where my little sister went, who knew I would find her in college. I understand the phrase, "God made us friends, because nobody could handle us as siblings," now, all too well. Could you imagine a mom dealing with both of us together? We are the best duo. Just know I am living my little girl fantasies through you. I sometimes forget you aren't actually my blood sister.

Thank you for always being there for me. As a big, it is my responsibility to take care of you. I didn't know when I received a little, I also got a person who would have my back 24/7 and would eventually take care of me, sometimes. You go above and beyond the role of a little every single day. Thanks for all of the encouraging words and the smiles you give me daily.

Thank you for letting me be a proud mom. I have proud mom moments all the time. You post a picture, I show all my friends that my little is the cutest. You earn the job or title you wanted, I want to post on Facebook in a super sappy way. I beam when I see all you do and all you accomplish. I am soooooo proud of you!

Thank you for being awesome. Sometimes you get me better than I get myself. You must have some magic little powers. You make me laugh on my bad days and can make smile every day.

Thank you for being you. I couldn't think of a more perfect person to be my little. You have all of my best qualities and more. You are my sunshine on a cloudy day. You are my little and you are the best little sister I could have ever wanted. Don't ever let the world change you.

Sorry, but you are stuck with me for life. As long as I'm living, my little you will be.

Love always,

Biggie

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
