If someone asked me 8 years ago who my best friend was, I would have a different answer. I was horrible in middle school to you and somehow you looked past that and became my best friend. You have been there for me through the good and the bad. You have seen me at my worst and have seen me at my best, for that I want to say thank you.
Thank you for putting up with me on my bad days. Thank you for being the first person I call when I have good or bad news. Thank you for listening to me complain about life. Thank you for making me laugh. Thank you for wiping my tears when I cry. Thank you for calling me out for being a bitch. Most importantly thank you for being you.
The quote from One Tree Hill is "people always leave." I have lost plenty of friends throughout the year. The thing is that you never leave. I have pushed you away and you have done the same, but at the end of the day I know your not going anywhere.
Thank you for never giving up on me and our friendship. The thing is you're not just my best friend, you're my family too. You come to my house when I'm not even home and that is just totally normal because my house is your house.
Thank you for visiting me at work when there is absolutely nothing to do; it actually means more then you think. Thank you for your long paragraphs about how appreciative you are to be my best friend. Thank you for answering the phone when you're on a class trip because I'm having a meltdown. Thank you for coming on vacation with my family and I because your presence gives us good vibes.
I could sit here all day and thank you for being the one person I can count on, but I don't want your head to swell too much. I couldn't imagine going through the last 8 years even though we weren't best friend at first. We have come a long way and our friendship only continues to grow.
Thank you for breaking down my wall and letting me be my true self around you. I love you and appreciate our friendship more than this article can ever express.
