Dear old roomie,
Walking into the dorm on my first day, I was unsure of what to expect. Just like every other freshman. I was scared that I would hate you and that we wouldn't get along. As the weeks went on we got to know each other. We became friends. LOWKEY didn't actually think that would happen! But low and behold you were there for the good, the bad and you sure were there for the UGLY (sorry about that)! So here's your Thank You!
For the good: You provided me with endless laughs! From throwing things at the window of the guy's room below us, to dancing in the room at two in the morning. Living with you could never be described as dull, trust me sometimes I wished it was. Somehow *insert eye roll*, you wormed your way into my mom's heart. Maybe it was your bubbly attitude or the fact that you would eat anything that she makes. That meant a lot. More than you probably know. You showed me the ropes around ISU, which was much needed. And last, but not least, you helped me pick out outfits all the time. Thanks for being there through the good.
For the bad: Oh gosh, where do I even begin?!?! Thanks for helping when I was sick. Even if you may have done it from a far, it was very much appreciated. Thanks for hitting me with a reality check every once in awhile. I needed it! When I was spending too much money or when I was being too stubborn for my own good. Lol may my bank account Rest In Peace! You helped me through all those first semester struggles. Thanks for being there when the college stress hit me and tears started. I'm so grateful that you were there to help me deal with it all. Also for assuring me that every first-semester freshman goes through this and that I would be. Thank you for being there through the bad.
For the ugly: Umm really sorry that these happened! Thanks for taking care of me, after a night out. That wasn't fun for anyone! But you were there, to feed me, make me chug a bottle of water, take some Advil and make sure I got into bed (we did this for each other too much). Also for not letting me drunk text any boys, you are a true gem for that one! I know that I'm not easy to deal with, so thanks for that. Thanks for being there for me when I was about to lose it. Whether it was a family member or some random girl. You let me vent, ugly cry and yell. It gets even uglier but I think we will spare everyone from having to hear it. Thanks for being there through the ugly.
All in all, you were a pretty kick ass roommate. I will miss you so much next year. I'm not worried about not seeing you because I know that I'll be stuck giving you ride homes. Plus you love my mom and her cooking so I'll see you around my house, as well. Mia, thanks for everything.
From,
The girl who was beyond blessed to live with you
