Dear Mom,
I know I don't say these things often enough, but I truly do mean them. You are my best friend, my rock. Everything I do, I do it for you because of everything you've done for me my entire life.
Thank you for being my shoulder to lean on when I'm down. You always know how to make me feel better when I'm at my lowest points. You make the stars shine on a dark night and the sunshine on a cloudy day. No matter what I do you always have my back. You pull me out of the holes I dig for myself as if I was never even in them. You make it look so easy and I know it's not.
Thank you for being my motivator in everything that I do. Everything I do, I do it for you. You give me motivation to do good every day. You support me with every decision I make and that in itself motivates me to do what I have to do. I'm a hardworking girl and it's all because of you.
Thank you for letting me make my own mistakes. I know you've always tried to lead me in the best direction but that doesn't mean I listened. By letting me make my own mistakes you let me teach myself a lesson, you let me learn right from wrong on my own. I became a better person, because of you.
Thank you for being my best friend. You let me tell you anything and everything and that made us so much closer. Knowing I could come to you with anything, any problem, any good and any bad, you would be there for me.
Thank you for doing the most for me. Honestly, I know people who their parents do nothing for them. I'm so lucky for all the things you do for me. I know you always do the most that you can for me even if it means not doing something for yourself. From buying me things to doing my laundry, what am I going to do when I live on my own?!
Thank you for keeping my secrets.
Thank you for making up your own song for me when I was a baby and singing it to me driving all the way to school.
Thank you for always putting my needs before your own.
Thank you for all the ways you let me know I am loved.
Thank you for teaching me to be independent and never rely on anyone else.
Thank you for pushing me through school even when I wanted to give up.
Most importantly, thank you for being you. If you were not the woman you are, I would not be who I am today. Thank you for everything you do for me, I love you so much momma.
Love Always,
Your Daughter
