To my best friend (who happens to be a guy),
I know I don't necessarily tell you all the time, but you mean a lot to me. By no means do I mean that in a romantic let’s get married kind of way, but instead my love for you is like a thanks for always being there to tell me when I’m being too much of a girl kind of love. You’re my best friend, and I appreciate you for being exactly that. Because you do so much for me, I wanted to say thank you.
Thank you for helping me see from a guy’s perspective
You have shown me how a guy’s thought process, no matter how stupid it may seem, usually works. You have helped me translate every text message, snap chat, social media post and questionable action over the last few years, and for the sake of future relationships, I'm glad I have you around.
Thank you for always being my go-to backup date
When every other guy backs out or there's no one for me to ask, I know I always have you to count on. Thanks for coming with me on all those awkward double dates our friends make us go on, and thank you for still dancing with me at date nights even though my dancing skills are horribly embarrassing.
Thank you for the tough love
You tend to tell it how it is, even when it might not be what I want to hear. Thank you for showing me that I deserve better when I can’t necessarily see it myself. Thank you for telling me I’m being dramatic when I don’t get what I want. And thank you for helping me realize that a boy is nothing to get upset over.
Thank you for not judging me at 2 a.m. when I have no make-up on
I could look like a complete mess, eat a whole pizza myself, cry like a baby, or be throwing up after having one too many drinks downtown and I know you would never judge me. You may make fun of me for it later, but our relationship is a total judge free zone.
Thank you for treating me like a bro
Thanks for letting me hang out with all your guy friends, talking to me about cars, and teaching me how to make a free throw. There’s never any drama and I certainly don’t need an excuse to be ladylike around you.

Thank you for letting me sleep in your bed when I’ve had a bad day, thank you for always being a constant shoulder to cry on, and thank you for always understanding what I need without trying to make a move. Thank you for helping me prove that there is a way for guys and girls to really be just friends.
