There was the good, bad and ugly times, but somehow we made it out of those years with only a few scratches to spare. So, here's a shout out to you for getting me to where I needed to be with only a few bumps in the road.
1. Thank you for somehow getting yourself into the most ridiculous parking spots; with practice, came near perfect and we've come so far!
2. Thank you for being my shelter. You were always there for me as I shed a tear or two before going into class knowing I shouldn't have waited to study with you minutes before a test.
3. You were always up for the next adventure. Although you may have made some discomforting noises minutes into the drive, more times than not you made it safely to the next destination!
4.Thank you for always getting the squad hyped before football games and concerts. Even though the stereo system was a little weak and there was no auxiliary cord, there were those times when the radio came in almost perfectly. Nonetheless, we had more fun learning the lyrics at the times when you would shut off the radio unexpectedly.
5. We went through a lot. Thank you for being patient when I was learning how to drive, and even after, when I was learning how to drive a car like you. There were times when we didn't think we would be able to make it out alive, but somehow we're both running smoothly.
6. Thank you for teaching me responsibility and testing freedom. You've seen my frustrations with learning how to pump gas and calling AAA when I locked my keys in you. These will be the times I definitely do not miss, but I'm so glad we could go through it together.
7. Thank you for not being anything too flashy. Looking back at my high school years, I know I wanted something exciting and expensive because I thought it would make me seem cool. Now, I'm just thankful I was able to get from point A to B without crashing into something. I'll always love you for the hideous looking vehicle you were.
8. Thank you for being my protector. No rain entered my car because of a broken window, and there were very few moments when I froze to death in the early mornings of winter. You've made me a more practical person when learning how to deal with your little quirks!
You were the least reliable, noisy, disaster of a best friend, but I wouldn't have traded you for anything. We had so many good memories together and stories to tell to generations to come. Although our time together was short, you were a good companion to have and I will never forget my first car. This is most definitely a goodbye forever and I hope you relive the life you once had with my siblings who get you next.
