A Thank You Letter To My Mom

Dear Mom,

Thank you for everything that you do for me. Thank you for always doing everything you can so that I never go without. Thank you for giving up things that you want or want to do so that I can live my dreams. I know there is nothing I can redo to pay you back for all of the sacrifices you've made for me but believe me someday I'm going to try.

Thank you for always supporting me in all of my decisions. I know it wasn't easy for you to keep your opinions to yourself when I decided where I went to school and what I studied, so thank you for letting me do what I needed to do and live my own life. I know you may not always be happy with my decisions, so thank you for being honest with me when I needed to hear it and just agreeing with me when I didn't.

I don't think you realize how much you mean to me, which is why I am writing this for you. You always do so much for me and I never take the time to truly tell you how grateful I am to have an amazing mom like you. I've traveled to places I've only dreamed of and done things I've never dreamed of all because of you and there's no amount of thank you's in the world I could say to truly show how truly thankful I am that I have an amazing mom like you.

Hopefully this letter will show you a small fraction of that appreciation.

Thank you for dealing with me at my worst and helping me get passed every hurdle I've faced. I know I'm not the easiest to deal with sometimes so thank you for always taking a deep breath and helping me work everything out even though it would have been a lot less frustrating for you to just let me struggle on my own.

Thank you for always being an open ear for me to complain to. For just sitting there and listening to me rant about the things I can't change.

Thank you for all of these things and the many more that I can't even begin to put into words. You mean everything to me and I promise to someday give you the world as you have done for me.
