Dear Mom and Dad,
First off, I would like to say "thank you" for introducing me to Catholicism and teaching me to follow the ways of Christ. I had an amazing opportunity given by both of you to attend Catholic school and Church growing up where I was able to express my Faith freely and proudly because you both taught me to do so.
Secondly, I just wanted to say a thank you for all that you do for me because without you two, I wouldn't be where I am today. You two have provided me with the basic necessities I needed in addition to unconditional love and support.
You two were always there to cheer me on at extracurricular events, such as: track, cross country, cheerleading, dance, soccer, and tee ball. You guys were always my number one fans, and you both even had the shirts to prove it that said, "Clarissa's Mom," or, "Clarissa's Dad." Both of you would also cheer and yell my name, especially when ending a track or cross country race. And no matter whether I won or lost, you both weren't afraid to show me off to other people that I was your daughter.
Thirdly, I would like to say thank you for pushing me to strive being above average in everything that I do academic, sport, or extracurricular activity-wise. Both of you have taught me not only to reach my goals, but to also shoot for more than what I want to achieve. You both always tell me that when I truly want something, "To go get it," because no matter what I set my mind to, I can achieve. I would also like to say "thank you" for all of the advice you two give me when dealing with friends, school, my love life, career, etc. Really, just with everything. Without the advice, I wouldn't have been able to deal with some of the stressful situations I've been in.
Next, I would like to say "thank you" for taking me on adventures and for allowing me to explore the world. From Disney World to Chicago, to Michigan, to Tennessee, to Wisconsin, and to Alabama, I was able to experience the amazing parts of the world God has to offer along with some of the best memories of my life.
Lastly, I would like to say "thank you" for everything you do, from the things listed above to the things I didn't list. Especially for teaching me that no one is perfect, so turn the other cheek and forgive when necessary.
Without both of you, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I'm proud to call you my parents. You both are such amazing people and the biggest role models in my life. I know that I make you both proud and I promise to continue to do so. Thank you, again, for everything you both do. I love you both and appreciate you both.
Sincerely,
Your little girl
