Dear Sissy,
Thank you for getting over all those years when I was mean to you. We haven’t always gotten along, but we’ve come so far. Now I’m only joking when I’m mean to you (usually).
Thank you for being my built-in best friend. The one who will go to the store at one a.m. and buy me "Ben and Jerry’s" when I’m feeling sad. The one who listens to my rants on the phone laughs at my mistakes and holds me when I cry.
Thank you for spending your lazy days with me. There’s no one else I’d rather watch Disney movies in my sweatpants with while we catch up on life.
Thank you for sitting in my car silently, though still in fear, when I first got my license and drove you everywhere, and for not hating me when I laugh at your driving. And thank you especially for always encouraging me to roll the windows down and turn the volume of our favorite songs all the way up.
Thank you for the endless mall trips and coffee runs. It takes a special kind of person to put up with my addictions to both. You know when to tell me that those jeans are too expensive or that I’ll never really wear that sweater, and you don’t judge me when I spend more money at Starbucks than I should.
Thank you for all our random photo shoots and for keeping so many ugly pictures of me, but never blackmailing me with them (yet).
Thank you for not giving up on me when I wanted to give up on myself. You’re the one who gets me through everything because you believe in me, and I am so grateful for that.
Thank you for the endless laughs and memories. Every adventure somehow turns into a million inside jokes and uncontrollable laughing about something no one else would find funny.
Thank you in advance for being the best bridesmaid I’ll have, and probably the only person who will understand how to handle the insane Bridezilla we all know I will become.
Thank you for knowing me and loving me better than anyone else. There’s no one else I’d rather share a home, a family, and a life with than you.
You’ve become the peanut butter to my jelly over all these years, and we’ve been through everything together. I’m so thankful for you and everything you’ve given me. I’m incredibly proud to call you my sister and friend, and I can’t wait to keep growing up with you by my side. And it doesn’t matter if we’re hundreds of miles away or one bedroom away, because we’ll always be there for each other.
Thank you for being the best sister a girl could ask for.
Love,
Your Favorite Sister
