Dear Denali,

To the world you are man's best friend, but to me, you are my best friend. I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am that you are in my life.

Thank you for all the times I've been alone in my house and you were there to protect me a.k.a make me feel better because I wasn't alone. When it comes to walking around the house at night in the dark, you are the best buddy to have around.

Thank you for wanting to always be my running buddy, no matter if you were asleep or even if it was raining. Especially, on the days that I don't want to go out and run, your smiling face is always the best motivation.

Thank you for always greeting me when I get home, especially when I have had a bad day. I know no matter how bad my day was it'll always be better when I get to go home a cuddle up with you on the couch.

Thank you for ALWAYS being happy to see me. I love being able to hear you run at high speeds up the stairs and down the hall when you know that I'm home. The way you jump up and down and run around in circles just brightens up my day.

Thank you for being the best stress reliever around, I can always count on you to remind me that things could be worse. When all I want to do is give up or stop working I know that when I look over at you and your tail starts wagging, it'll give me a sense of happiness and comfort to take a deep breath a keep on striving.

Thank you for being the best listener around, I know I can tell you anything and you won't judge. When I come home from work and complain about my day, or get exciting news, I know you'll be right there to comfort me or share in my excitement.

Thank you for always wanting to be my cuddle buddy, some nights it's more appreciated than others. Even though you are like a personal space heater, sleeping next to you makes it a little easier to fall asleep at night.

Thank you for being my best friend. I know I can always count on you. Whether you are just following me around the house, sleeping in my bed, running by my side, or even being annoying, I know that you are the one thing I can always and forever count on!

But most of all, thank you for being you. I love you more than anything in the world and I am so lucky to always have you by my side.
