There are hundreds of people in your life that deserve a thank you. With Thanksgiving coming up, people typically thank their family, friends, and their pets. Try to focus those that may be underappreciated. These are the people besides your friends and family that have most likely made your life easier.
1. Your freshman year RA
The person who dealt with your problems. They made sure you were safe when you made poor decisions.
Thanks, Nick and every RA in Tower D!
2. The cleaning staff
When you trash the common room, someone cleans it up. The cleaning staff is filled with incredible people that you should talk to more. Say hi and see how their day is going.
3. That kid who gave you a pen in class
Let's be real, at this point in the semester, you are running out of supplies.
4. The security guards at the desk
They have to deal with all of the shenanigans that happen at night in your building. They get bored though, so talk to them. They are really nice people.
5. Dining hall workers
Many people have their favorite workers on campus. Whoever it is, make sure that they know they are appreciated.
Thanks, Ms. Verna!
5. Reed Hastings: CEO of Netflix
You know why.
6. Your advisor
We need to appreciate the advisors who went above and beyond to make sure that you succeed.
Thanks, Jon Lesh!
7. Your parents
If it wasn't for them, there is a chance you wouldn't be in school. You can never thank them enough.
Love you Mom, Dad and Anzie.
8. That professor who didn't take attendance
You are a godsend.
Thanks, Professor Webster.
9. The librarians
They do not get enough credit for being incredible resources to students.
Thanks, Lisa Woznicki.
10. Your roommate
The person that deals with you every single day. They see you at your best and your worst. You allow each other to be super weird.
Thanks, Sarah!
11. That kid with the printer
We have all had our printer break at terrible times. Thank that kid on your floor who let you borrow theirs when you were in a time crunch.
Tori is the real MVP.
12. Campus Activities Board/ Student Government
They have to attempt to satisfy the entire student body. They will never please everyone, so appreciate how hard they work.
13. Your orientation leader
They had to deal with all of the questions you had as a freshman with a smile. They helped show you the ropes of your college.
14. Whoever gave you a grant
This could be a woman who is currently drinking a mimosa at her beach house that created a scholarship to help the youth. $500, $5,000... that's less money that you have to pay.
15. That really hard professor
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Thank that professor that made you work your ass off for that grade. Chances are, you learned from it.
16. The people who struggled in that class with you
You all probably bonded with the all nighters you've pulled together for this course. You all encouraged each other that you will survive.
Thanks, Kevin, Steff and Whitney.
17. That really easy professor
They helped you boost your GPA.
18. That person that DIDN'T believe in you
It pushed you to prove them wrong.
19. Most importantly: That person who DID believe in you
There are so many times that every college student freaks out being an adult. Thank the people that knew from the beginning that you could do it. These are the people outside of your main core of family and friends.
Thanks, Tom Askey, Stephen Edgar and Patrick O'Donnell.
