Another year has come and gone, and if God willing we will enter the year of 2017. This past year has brought several different lessons with it that were not always easy but necessary. It has brought various disappointments along with a new perspective of what it means to actually try something instead of giving up. Sometimes you do not know what you can handle until you try and though you may not always succeed, you can at least say I tried.
It really wasn't a busy year, but throughout different areas it was productive, and the year just literally flew by. From learning different things, spending more time in God's word and learning more about it through the various articles that I have written, to spending time with some friends and family along with learning that my anxiety continues to make it hard to be able to hold down a job. However giving up is not an option and I am going to try again with something else.It also came with some challenges that taught me that you can forgive, but that doesn't mean you have to associate with those individuals . For God says to pray for your enemy and forgive one another just as he has forgiven us. This year has been rough on me and full of hurt, heartache, and pain but it also has shown me that you can stay positive because of friends who truly care, and that God is walking beside me through each obstacle that I may face. It has also been a year of hope, prayer and personal growth throughout the various challenges it has presented at the different times. It also shows true value in where your heart is after coming through some of the storms. Let it rain!
I will say goodbye to 2016 and if God willing will say hello to the new opportunities that will come in 2017. It has been an overall good year and though I will not miss some of the events that happened to me, I am looking forward to the next chapter and plan to continue spending more time in God's Word. It was a pretty good year overall, but definitely had some lessons that will stay with me throughout the next chapter of the new year.
