Let me start by saying thank you. Thank you for being there for me when I am at my worst. Thank you for texting me every day even when you don’t want to. Thank you for telling me I am being an idiot when no one else will. Thank you for all of those things and all the little things you do for me all the time.

You and I are both very stubborn people. We like getting our way and we do not like to be wrong. I am pretty sure this is why we butt heads most of the time, but I am also sure that this is why we are best friends. It makes me happy to know that in this crazy messed up world we have each other to be stubborn with.

Without you, every day would be boring. Every day would be normal. If I didn’t have you I would have 300 funny pictures on my phone with no one to send them to. Without you I would not have anyone to tell all of my embarrassing stories too. Without you I would a different person.

It makes me happy to know that if we don’t talk for a day or for a week or even for a month that you will still be there for me. It makes me happy to know that even when I mess up and make you mad that you will be there to forgive me. It makes me happy to know that you are always have my back and if I was ever in a fight you would always take my side. If you were ever in a fight I would have your back… but I am not as strong as you and I am not sure that I would be of any help.

You are my best friend. You are my rock. You are the reason I can make it through the day without chaos.

When I have no one else to talk to you are the one I want to go to. When I am stressed for exams you are the one I go to, so you can tell me to stop taking life so seriously. When I am being an irrational person you are the one I go to, so you can tell me to stop being so stupid.

I trust you with everything I have and I know that you will always be there for me, even when you would rather be eating sour gummy worms on the couch watching animal planet. Thank you for being an amazing friend and making this life a little more enjoyable.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
