I'm Not Sure I Deserve My Best Friends, But Boy Am I Glad I Have Them

I hope my best friends know they're all so amazing. I hope my best friends know I will be there for them for anything that comes up in their lives. I hope my best friends know how much my life would suck without them. I know I probably don't say it enough, but I am so grateful to have the best friends I do because I'm positive they're the best people on this planet.

For all the times you've made me laugh, thank you. Sometimes you don't even realize you're doing it, but all the little stuff you do to make me giggle makes my days so much brighter. If I'm ever in a bad mood, I know I can talk to you and immediately feel so much better.

For all the times you've picked me up when I'm down, thank you. I know sometimes there's really nothing you can do except listen to me rant, but just know even that makes me feel so much better. Sometimes you're too encouraging to the point where I'm suspicious, but nonetheless, thanks for making me feel so loved. Do you know how people say to be nice to everyone because you never know what kind of day they're having? Well, my best friends always seem to know what kind of day I'm having and make me feel better. Seriously, it's like a superpower or something.

For all the times you've called me out for being stupid, thank you. Sometimes (in extremely rare occasions) I'm wrong about something, and when that time comes, (as I said, this rarely happens) you're sure to call me out on it. I realize sometimes I'm being a big 'ole idiot and I can't even see that I am, but you, you're always there to keep me in line.

For all the times you haven't judged me for doing something out of line, thank you. Whether it be me doing an embarrassing dance in the middle of a store or saying something impulsive I probably should have never said, you laugh with me, not at me. Well, most of the time anyway. I know you should be embarrassed by some of the stuff I do, but you love me anyway and that's admirable.

For all the times you've answered my pointless FaceTimes, thank you. I know you must get annoyed by them from time to time, but I really love spilling the tea and talking about absolutely nothing with you. Those calls are what make it seem like we're together at least for a little bit, even if we're 200 miles away.

For all the times you haven't answered my pointless FaceTimes, thank you. I probably got back to whatever responsibilities I was avoiding. No actually, maybe don't answer as often, I have classes to pass.

For all the memories we still have to make, I can't wait. It's because of you I haven't completely lost my mind. I'm so lucky to be doing life by your side for as long as you'll have me. I hope everyone is lucky enough to find best friends as amazing as mine. Thanks for every little thing you do. My life is so much better with you in it.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
