A true friend is hard to find

A Thank You To My Best Friend

I'm not super great with words but have seemed to discover a bit of a passion for it time to time. However, my best friend is absolutely fabulous with words (though she is humble and will never admit it.) and loves to write. It's something we both find ourselves doing frequently at our apartment in our free time. So After a lot of thought on what to do, I decided to compose this letter In honor of her birthday.

Mads, Thank you for always being there for me. No matter what time it is or what you're doing, thanks for always answering my phone call, letting me come sit on your bed and vent, and being my go to person for any and everything.

Thank you for always having my back no matter what. For supporting me and backing me up, always.

Thank you for holding me accountable through it all. Whether it's holding me accountable with life decisions or with my faith, I am blessed to have someone I can always count on.

Thank you for our late night talks. When we can stay up until who know when and have those heart to heart conversations with one another, judge free. For the trust, honestly, and caring intentions behind every conversation.

Thank you for seeing through my "I'm okay" and "I'm fine." For knowing when something is really wrong when I say otherwise.

Thank you for making me laugh when I want to cry. For knowing just the right thing to say to make me smile and laugh even when I don't want to.

Thank you for showing part of God's love through you daily. For loving me through the rough times, praying with me, and keeping my head up when things are tough.

Thank you for dealing with my stubbornness. It's hard sometimes, I know when we are both stubborn and want to win the battle...but thanks for dealing with me and my stubbornness and being willing to let me win those certain battles.

Thank you for the adventures we have along the way. Whether it's the sudden last minute plans that get me out of my comfort zone or the short quick trip to wal mart, I love that I can always count on you to get away and have mads and Kay time.

Thank you for blowing up each other's phones. 'nough said...

Thank you for making me a better person than I was yesterday. For challenging me daily and encouraging me to grow in and with Christ.

Thank you for simply being my best friend. For showing me that God puts certain people in our lives for a reason, and to grow with us as individuals, Christians, and friends.

Thank you for everything. I'm beyond grateful God put you in my life at the time that he did. That you're a friend that's here to stay and proving to me that not everyone will leave you when things get tough. Thank you For continuing to be here through the good times and the bad. I could never put in words just how thankful I am for you..even though this is my try of doing so. I know I fall short of that still, but please always know you are forever appreciated and loved. And thank you for being that best friend that God has put in my life to grow with me, challenge me, and love me. You are truly a blessing.

Thank you. Love you lots,

Kay

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
